Short summary of Kajiyukihime:
Once upon a time in a far away kingdom a little cute princess with white skin, black hair and red lips was born, a human being created by God, who was slightly crazy. Kajiyukihime was the most precious thing for the king. Kajiyukihime’s mother died early, so the king remarried soon. The new wife was very beautiful, but also very vain. She is always asking her mirror: “Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?” And the mirror would answer: “You, my Queen, are the fairiest of them all.” But when Kajiyukihime grow up, she became more beautiful and more beautiful, while remaining pure hearted and gentle. So one day, when the new queen asked her mirror: “Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?” the mirror answered: “Kajiyukihime is the fairiest of them all. No one can beat her beauty.”
Driven by jealousy and rage, she ordered a huntsman to kill Kajiyukihime. But huntsman pitied the poor princess and let her run away, while presenting his queen the heart of an animal as the heart of Kajiyukihime. In the meantime Kajiyukihime walked into the forest and found a small hut/house. Inside she found 7 small dishes with food and since she was hungry, she ate from one of the dishes. After eating she lied down on one of the 7 small beds and fell asleep.
A bit later, the 7 dwarfs returned home and find their home intruded. Soon they find out, that something is sleeping in one of their beds: a girl and obviously the princess of their country. “It’s not like she’s pretty…”, one of the dwarfs said, while still being shocked to find a GIRL sleeping in their house. The princess woke up upon the noise the dwarfs were making and is taken aback and apologising for intruding. While still half-asleep she bursts out: “I’m sorry for being a girl!!! AND using your bed and eating your food!! Please forgive me!!!” xD
Tsundere dwarf: “It’s not like, we are mad at you…, but we’re not forgiving you for your sake, okay?!” (tsun, tsun (๑´ლ`๑)♡)
Since our princess had no place to go, she decided to stay with the dwarfs and the dwarfs promised to protect her.
Back in the castle:
Our queen once again asked her mirror: “Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?” She is horrified to learn that Kajiyukihime is not only alive and well, residing with Dwarves, but is still the fairest of them all. (I think the huntsman had to pay for his life, because he betrayed his queen? I’m not sure…) The queen decided to kill the princess with her own eyes and created a poisonous apple. She then disguised herself as an old woman and went into the forest, where the dwarfs’ house was. When seeing Kajiyukihime, the old woman offered a delicious looking apple to her. Even though Kajiyukihime refused at first, thinking the old woman is weird, she eventually gave in and took a bite. But in the moment she took the bite, she feel lifelessly onto the floor. When the queen asked her mirror in the castle again, she finally got the answer, that pleased her.
Mirror: “You, my Queen, is the fairiest of them all”
Queen: “That was foreseeable! Hahahahahaha….”
While Kajiyukihime was placed in a glass coffin by the dwarfs, a foreign prince came by.
Prince: “Woahhhh!! Bea-beautifuuuul!…”
He was impressed by Kajiyukihime’s beauty and asked the dwarfs for permission to take her home thinking, that she’s alive. But one of the dwarfs cryingly said, that she is already dead and will never come back to life.
Tsundere dwarf: “It’s not like, I love her…, but we can’t give her to you.”
Prince: “NOOOOO! Oh, dear God (he’s saying it to the tsundere dwarf)! Let me take her with me!!”
Tsundere dwarf: “Well, God?!… Ehhh?!…
Prince: I BEG YOU!!!
Tsundere dwarf: “Uhm.. so… You… j-just want to t-take her with you, right?… Then please do so…”
Upon seeing how intrigued the prince was with the princess, the dwarfs decided to give their beloved princess to the prince.
Prince: “I’m very grateful! You dwarfs can visit her whenever you want.”
As his servants carry the coffin away, they stumble on some roots. This causes the piece of poisoned apple to dislodge from Snow White’s throat, awakening her.
Dwarf: “Our beautiful princess! Kajiyukihime came back to life!”
Tsundere dwarf: “Prince, that wasn’t planned!” xD
The princess instantly fell in love with the handsome foreign prince, when she saw him.
Kajiyukihime: “Could it be…. that you are my saviour?”
Prince: “If I have to put it in words: Yes, I’m your saviour. So please marry me!”
Prince: “Please be my wife!”
Kajiyukihime: “Is that really okay?”
Prince: “No one else could be my wife, no one else…”
Kajiyukihime: “Yes, I will!”
So in the end the prince and the princess got married and they lived happily after…
I don’t know, what kind of TV show this was, but it’s so damn funny. LOL I couldn’t stop laughing at some parts. I loved how the characters interacted with each other. Terashima Takuma as a tsundere dwarf. What more can I wish for?! 😀
My favourite part is the part, where the foreign prince appears. “Woahhh… utsukuuushiii (beautiful)…” xD His “foreign” accent was hilarious!! I think Terashima Takuma, Shimono Hiro and Kaji Yuki did a great job in entertaining us! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
