Hey there! ヾ(＾∇＾)
This blog is dedicated to mostly Japanese otome games and drama CD’s and everything else that catches my interest. I’m sorry, I know it takes me really long to write the reviews, because I’m doing too many things.
Maybe I shouldn’t write such textwalls… But I hope you don’t mind that too much! I will also write reviews on some English indie otome games, if I find time for it.
Haru in a nutshell
I’m in my twenties and I’m currently doing my master thesis in computer science in university. English is not my native language – I’m actually from Germany – but I’m kind of fluent in English, so I think you will manage to understand me somehow. 😀
I’ve enjoyed reading mangas, watching animes and playing games since ages and at the moment I’m totally into otome games and drama CDs. (Why do the CV’s sound soooo
sexy good?) So back then I decided to write a blog to get some stuff out of my head, while getting used to write in English properly. What I like most about otome games are the interesting stories. I love reading all kind of stories, preferably mysterious and complicated plots, therefore games like “Black Wolves Saga”, “Shinigami to Shoujo” and “Clock Zero” are absolutely essential on my To-Play-List. But playing heavy storyplots can be really mentally exhausting, so I also play pure romance games as well. They are pretty fun as well! 😉
But I’m not only restricted to otome games… I do like all kind of games ranging from RPG’s to Jump’N’Run’s, horror and even ego-shooter. You see, I like to try out like everything I can get my hands on, as long it sounds fun or has a good and deep plot.
I’m also infatuated with story-writing, game-programming and anything that is related to music (singing is my passion, you will always find me in the karaoke room in conventions :D). Not to mention that I love drawing. But since I do quite many time-consuming activities, I have to set priorities and sadly drawing is not one of the top priorities… Nevertheless I enjoy looking at nice artworks and bishies in games or whatever.
My favourite character types in otome games are つんでれ (tsundere), childhood friends (I can’t resist them, no matter what I do…) and slight teases. (*ﾉ▽ﾉ) I also have a huge unhealthy bias towards megane characters. 😀 Recently I’ve found out, that I pretty much dig cute younger characters too, as long as they are in college. LOL
The seiyuu fangirl
Hosoya Yoshimasa (short Hosoyan), Maeno Tomoaki (short Maenu) and Kawada Shinji are the 3 seiyuu I adore the most.
I’ve always liked Hosoyan’s gentle yet charismatic voice, and once I heard and saw him singing and dancing, I totally fell for
him his incredible seiyuu qualities. (❁´◡`❁)*✲ﾟ* Did I mention, that I love him for his accents? He’s pretty good with different accents, just as one would expect from the “prince of dialects”!
Maenu was always lurking around the corner somehow. His Riichiro (Clock Zero) was my first 2D Otoge man ever, so he will always a be a special seiyuu in my heart. I always thought that he was a adorkable cutie and he indeed is. I even love his pervy side, because hey… I’m a closet pervert myself. LOL When I listened to his Drama CD Genyouki, my heart was captured by this man’s voice and I couldn’t resist in any way… And wow… Have you listened to his singing voice? I always get the goosebumps, when I hear him singing. *drools*
Kawada Shinji is a rather unknown seiyuu and is more active in the R-18 scene and is the seiyuu, that made me fall in love in a R-18 CD. Like seriously, his voice is SEXY.
Can I marry his voice? I hope he’ll get more roles in the otome world though…
Other seiyuu’s that make me drool are (usually the middle-deep voiced seiyuu):
- Takahashi Naozumi
- Nojima Kenji
- Kishio Daisuke
- Midorikawa Hikaru
- Fukuyama Jun
- Suganuma Hisayoshi
- Sasanuma Akira
- and there are a lot more…. I love seiyuu, as long as their voice fits the character!
I admit it, I have a voice fetish!!
Since my reviews tend to be very detailled, be careful to NOT be SPOILED! I will summarize my thoughts on a game/CD at the end of a post so please skip to that part, if you DON’T want to spoil yourself.
Feel free to comment or ask questions
or fangirl on my blog, I’d be delighted to read and answer your thoughts.
