Hey there! ヾ(^∇^)

This blog is dedicated to mostly Japanese otome games and drama CD’s and everything else that catches my interest. I’m sorry, I know it takes me really long to write the reviews, because I’m doing too many things. Maybe I shouldn’t write such textwalls… But I hope you don’t mind that too much! I will also write reviews on some English indie otome games, if I find time for it.

Haru in a nutshell
I’m in my twenties and I’m currently doing my master thesis in computer science in university. English is not my native language – I’m actually from Germany – but I’m kind of fluent in English, so I think you will manage to understand me somehow. 😀
I’ve enjoyed reading mangas, watching animes and playing games since ages and at the moment I’m totally into otome games and drama CDs. (Why do the CV’s sound soooo sexy good?) So back then I decided to write a blog to get some stuff out of my head, while getting used to write in English properly. What I like most about otome games are the interesting stories. I love reading all kind of stories, preferably mysterious and complicated plots, therefore games like “Black Wolves Saga”, “Shinigami to Shoujo” and “Clock Zero” are absolutely essential on my To-Play-List. But playing heavy storyplots can be really mentally exhausting, so I also play pure romance games as well. They are pretty fun as well! 😉

The gamer
But I’m not only restricted to otome games… I do like all kind of games ranging from RPG’s to Jump’N’Run’s, horror and even ego-shooter. You see, I like to try out like everything I can get my hands on, as long it sounds fun or has a good and deep plot.

I’m also infatuated with story-writing, game-programming and anything that is related to music (singing is my passion, you will always find me in the karaoke room in conventions :D). Not to mention that I love drawing. But since I do quite many time-consuming activities, I have to set priorities and sadly drawing is not one of the top priorities… Nevertheless I enjoy looking at nice artworks and bishies in games or whatever.

My favourite character types in otome games are つんでれ (tsundere), childhood friends (I can’t resist them, no matter what I do…) and slight teases. (*ノ▽ノ) I also have a huge unhealthy bias towards megane characters. 😀 Recently I’ve found out, that I pretty much dig cute younger characters too, as long as they are in college. LOL

The seiyuu fangirl
Hosoya Yoshimasa (short Hosoyan), Maeno Tomoaki (short Maenu) and Kawada Shinji are the 3 seiyuu I adore the most.

I’ve always liked Hosoyan’s gentle yet charismatic voice, and once I heard and saw him singing and dancing, I totally fell for him his incredible seiyuu qualities. (❁´◡`❁)*✲゚* Did I mention, that I love him for his accents? He’s pretty good with different accents, just as one would expect from the “prince of dialects”!

Maenu was always lurking around the corner somehow. His Riichiro (Clock Zero) was my first 2D Otoge man ever, so he will always a be a special seiyuu in my heart. I always thought that he was a adorkable cutie and he indeed is. I even love his pervy side, because hey… I’m a closet pervert myself. LOL When I listened to his Drama CD Genyouki, my heart was captured by this man’s voice and I couldn’t resist in any way… And wow… Have you listened to his singing voice? I always get the goosebumps, when I hear him singing. *drools*

Kawada Shinji is a rather unknown seiyuu and is more active in the R-18 scene and is the seiyuu, that made me fall in love in a R-18 CD. Like seriously, his voice is SEXY. Can I marry his voice? I hope he’ll get more roles in the otome world though…

Other seiyuu’s that make me drool are (usually the middle-deep voiced seiyuu):

  • Takahashi Naozumi
  • Nojima Kenji
  • Kishio Daisuke
  • Midorikawa Hikaru
  • Fukuyama Jun
  • Suganuma Hisayoshi
  • Sasanuma Akira
  • and there are a lot more…. I love seiyuu, as long as their voice fits the character! I admit it, I have a voice fetish!!

Since my reviews tend to be very detailled, be careful to NOT be SPOILED! I will summarize my thoughts on a game/CD at the end of a post so please skip to that part, if you DON’T want to spoil yourself.

Feel free to comment or ask questions or fangirl on my blog, I’d be delighted to read and answer your thoughts.

    • Dear Ryuta,

I’m very honored to receive an invitation to play one of your games! As much as I wanted to try out your game… I sadly don’t own an iPhone…, so I can’t play it…
Shinsen-Renki looks quite nice, so if I ever get my hands on an iPhone, I’ll try it for sure!

I’m such a bias..that I watch Prince of tennis….just for me to be able to hear his accent! “AH, ecstasy!” “Akan!” (I really love it when he talks with accents!…Prince of tennis and Chihayafuru) It’s sooooo freaking adorable! • Yeah, of course I know you!!! Thank you for enjoying my blog!

Being a Hosoyan fangirl is quite uhmm… exciting? xDDD I was so crazy to actually try watching every anime he’s in, but OMG I just can’t watch Valvrave… It’s so crazy, I don’t even want to go there. ^^ Yep… Hosoyan is the REAL “Prince of Accents”, because he manages to do them flawless. I don’t even know how he is able to do that!!!

Nah, I’m always happy to receive comments, so you’re always welcome! (❁´◡`❁)*✲゚*

    • Hi Ageha! Of course we can! I’ll add you to my blogroll! 🙂 I see you played Norn9 and wrote a review… www I think I’ll read it, if I have more time! 😀

      • Thank you! Ah, my review, it only covers the prologue, I’m posting seperate reviews for the guys. You can take a sneak peak if you want 🙂

  6. Hi~! nice to meet you ^.^ I really like your blog – I wish I could read Japanese 😦 but anyways, I heard you like megane charas ;3 did you know that theres going to be an anime for a cast of all megane bishies? >u< it's called Meganebu! and going to be released in October~ well anyways, I really like your blog and I can't wait for your Cho Sekkin Gata Sasayaki Micchaku review ^.^ (sorry for the super long comment orz)

    • Nice to meet you too! Thank you for keeping up with my mess. xDD Yeah, I heard about Meganebu, but I actually have NO IDEA what this anime is about. xDDDD But let’s wait and see. Ahh… I will review all the things I wanted, after I’m back from Japan, so stay tuned! 😀 😀

  7. Hello, I’m new on wordpress but it seems that we have similiar interest (otoge, drama cds, 2d bishie orz). Did you mind if we exchanged links? ヾ(。◕ฺ∀◕ฺ)ノ

  8. Hi Haruna! I’ve been reading your wordpress and tumblr for months now and I’ve been wanting to ask for exchanging links (//^///^) I hope you don’t mind me putting your blog in my blogroll ^_^=

Oh by the way, good luck on Black Rose Café! I’ll definitely support it!

    • Hi Yssa!!

Thank you for reading my blogs! Sure, I’d be happy to exchange links. wwww
And thank you for your nice words! I’ve been in a slump the last week, but I’m trying to get things done for the game…

      See you around!

  9. Hi Haru, I see you’re playing Musketeers… let me guess… it’s because of Maeno? (・∀・) Btw… I’ve not played Clock Zero but I heard it’s a good plot. Are there many good twists in the game?

    • Ahaha. To honest… I bought Musketeer because I love the artwork and the intriguing story. One of my friends recommended it to me as well. And hey, it’s Duma’s 3 Musketeer! Can’t ignore that! But I won’t deny, that I actually decided to get the game after I found out my 3 LIFE RUINERS are voicing characters in this game. Can you believe it?! It has not only Maenu, but also Hosoyan and even Kawada Shinji!!!! \(//∇//)\ I’m one lucky fangirl!!! ε-(´∀`; )

Clock Zero has a pretty good plot twist in some routes. You should play it, because that game is awesome! (((o(*゚▽゚*)o))) If you like time traveling themes, you’ll love this game! The characters are wonderful and the MC is pretty ass-kicking for an Otomate game.

      • Haha I actually gave up musketeers at the prologue because the game was kind of silly for me… I wanted to play for Hosoyan but the prologue was just too boring for me… Maybe when I’ve finished other backlots I’ll get back to it.

Alright thanks I’ll play clock zero sometime! :3 the Pv looks good and my friend said it’s one of he better otomate games.

  10. Hello again, Haruna!

First of all, sorry if I posted this question in the wrong section of your blog!

I just wanted to thank you for being the final push I needed for trying Sakuya. It’s a good game and restored my faith in the doujin otome scene. I plan on reviewing it, but seeing as you mentioned that you wanted to review it, I would like to ask you: is it okay for me to review it before you do, if I finish it before you publish yours? I’m unfamiliar with blogging etiquette, so I thought it would be best to ask you first. I would feel really bad if I stole your thunder, even if unintentionally.

See you around, and thanks again! 🙂

    • Hi! I’m happy to hear you started playing Sakuya! I’m even more pleased that you like Sakuya! Hehe.

To be honest…. I’m kind of surprised that you asked me, if it’s okay for you to post your review before mine. That’s a first for me. 😉 Well, I and a lot of other bloggers in the otome fandom go by the “whoever finishes his review first, posts first” rule, so you don’t have to worry about taking anyone’s spotlight! www I’m a pretty procrastinating blogger, so if you’d wait for me to finish my review…. Before you post yours…. God knows how long it will take! xD

I’m looking forward to your review then! *sends cookie*

  11. Hello!
I’m sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you might be able to help me with something in regards to ordering from stellaworth. I want to make my first order but the items I want are preorders that come out in Jan. I haven’t been able to find out if they charge when the items release, or when you place the order.

    • Hi!

You’re welcome! StellaWorth usually charge your credit card, when they send it out your orders. So you won’t get charged until the items are released. 😉 Have fun with your order!

  12. Thank you! I definitely will~ I found out about the site from a friend since I got into otome very recently and fell in love with it immediately. ;u;
